This privacy policy explains how Zyzaa Tuition (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, book an assessment, enrol a child or apply to work with us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling information in line with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information about a child is provided by a parent or guardian. Some of the information we ask for, such as medical conditions, is more sensitive, and we ask for it only so that we can look after your child properly.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange assessments.
- To enrol your child, place them in the right group, and provide tuition.
- To keep your child safe, including contacting you or an emergency contact if needed, and acting on medical information you give us.
- To share progress and communicate with you about timetables, fees and payments.
- To recruit and check tutors.
- To keep our website secure and improve it.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Our lawful bases
We process personal information where it is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps before entering one (for example, providing tuition you have requested), where we have a legitimate interest that is not outweighed by your rights (for example, running and improving our service), where we have a legal obligation, and, where appropriate, with your consent. For more sensitive information, such as health information, we rely on your explicit consent or on the need to protect someone’s vital interests.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us run our website and business, such as website hosting, email and payment providers, and with others where the law requires. Within Zyzaa Tuition, information is available only to people who need it, such as the centre manager and your child’s tutors.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system can be completely secure, so please take care when sending information by email.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your child, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it or restrict its use in certain circumstances, to object to some types of processing and, where relevant, to ask for your information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
